This worm is very aggressive and it will almost certainly cause severe harm to your DATA !

 

Now you read this from another computer, the worm can be deleted by the following steps.

1. Reboot the infected computer in DOS (use the F8 key during startup)
   
   
2. Use c:\windows\command\edit.exe to open c:\windows\win.ini
   
   
3. Find the lines :
   run=c:\windows\system\explore.exe
   run=c:\windows\_setup.exe
   
   
4. Delete them
   
   
5. Save the win.ini file
   
   
6. Reboot to windows, and use find files to locate all files called explore.exe and _setup.exe and zipped_files.exe (find files using, F3 key, in your start menu)
   
   
7. Delete them all, these files are not part of win95/98 file system
   
   
8. Delete any message containing zipped_files.exe as an attachment.
   
   
9. Repair all affected files using Nuts&Bolts 98 (or reinstall win95/98)
